After what seems like forever the wind has calmed a little here. We have sustained no lasting damage and my heart goes out to the people in the North West who are dealing with flooded homes and loss of treasured possessions.
Today the sky is blue
and there are some hardy summer plants still braving the storms.
This poppy is so delicate - I was surprised to find it in my garden this morning.
These happy faced violas are still flowering too.
